Nothing funny about it.

there is a sense of loneliness
that comes with being in a monogamous relationship
you are saying to yourself, I have to distance myself in such a way from many people I meet
and trust this one person to fulfill that need
and if they don't...
a crushing loneliness

But it makes for good stories.

Violence does little to stop the problems that violence starts.

And suicidal

Jesus resurrected, flys, and cant come into your heart til you invite him: Jesus is a Zombie-mutant-vampire?

So are the fox news pundits though...

The founding fathers were actually terrorists. The Boston Tea Party, the Sons of Liberty, etc. Its easy for us to look back and say they were justified, but they used violence to cause terror to their enemies rather than use peaceable means...

And yes, theater has "raised" me more than once.

I was raised by the theater to believe that every phrase uttered is a double entendre waiting to happen.

I would die for a hot dog right about now

I want you you to imagine, just for a minute, that when you die, you are gone; that you cease existence of any kind when you die here. Imagine that this life, from when you are born till when you die, is all you have. Now, imagining that, what would you be willing to die for. What is possibly important enough for you to give up any chance at ever being part of anything ever again?

Then again, maybe not.

Maybe you can't measure life in betters and worses. Maybe you can only measure life for what it is exactly. Maybe every moment isn't potential that's lost, maybe it's actuality that's found. And maybe we can stop beating ourselves up for not being what we expected, and start being glad that we're here.

Now lets go sledding.

Despite the severe paradoxical thinking that comes from the idea that you cant trust anyone in the state of nature, but are suddenly able to trust one individual to look out for the best interests of all people by setting aside his own personal agenda, Hobbe's suppositions make sense when taken from his base understanding of the state of nature.

And verbose

Feeling the oppressive specter of wild, unbound imagination bound in the books all around him. Libraries are at once calming and energizing.

If you hate change, here is my tip jar.

The most unpleasant thing about life is not dying, not being born, not the pain or pleasure life brings. The most unpleasant thing about life, is knowing that the future is inevitable; that you can never make a single moment last forever. Life is fleating, it occurs, swells, and passes; there is no way we can stop it from continuing on.

*wave*

Thinks that maybe the gods made the universe relativistic because they didn't want to feel alone. So they made it that way so they could look at each-other and say, I am here because you are there.

Or a black drag queen.

Rule the fourth: Never tell a black lesbian to shut up

Not as useful as it seems?

I imagine that perhaps when the gods were making man, they said to themselves "give them 4 fingers on each hand, so that they will think in base 8, a very elegant numbering system." Then one of them went and ruined it all by giving us an opposable thumb.

I hope the little prince does'nt sue me for stealing the last part.

A flower, once it grows, can be plucked and taken anywhere, but a flower can never become a flower unless it is planted and water. The same is true for us, this body is our soil and this life is our water. What is crucial is invisible to the eye.

Lets lay down and "know each other"

A book, written by man, translated by man, interpreted by man, that has fractured into over 20 different distinct religions, comprised by several thousand denominations, many who are currently killing each other over its interpretation, is what people use to justify their anti-homosexual agenda.... seriously? SERIOUSLY? Come on people. Get your house straight before trying to make me straight.

Bisexuals just see who can get naked fastest.

I've noticed that a majority of drunk heterosexual arguments seem to be won by whomever can say f**k and s**t the loudest, whereas homosexual drunken fights seem to be won by whomever can sit in silence the longest. Of course drag queens and lesbians are the exception, it comes down to nails in that case

TLDR

Democracy is the most dangerous. In any dictatorship or oppressive regime, the people will eventually revolt, but when people feel they have power, they will let themselves be cowed by those who would manipulate them. The only recourse is to constantly challenge ourselves to actively see things from a view that is not our own. Only when we truly allow ourselves to understand can we realize the true state of things

Want to observe yourself into my bed?

Here is the truth, there is nothing immutable about who you are. There is nothing about yourself that you cannot change. You can choose in this moment to be a completely different person than who you are, but only if you want to enough.

And so is being theist.

Whether or not being gay is a choice, being homophobic is a choice.

And they all tell you "But he loves me"

Religion is Stockholm syndrome. You have been kidnapped and told to love god, if you don't he will torture you for eternity. If you do love him you get to spend forever with him.

Or a taping of Fox News?

It's weird how many religions have this idea that when you die, someone will be there to tell you how well you lived your life. Death is like going to a drag show I guess

Or they just eat and play video games...

When they can survive, they turn to building civilizations, once civilized, they get bored, so they tear it all down again, so they can try their hand at surviving again.

Except for, you know, white people... those guys suck.

Whether people want to believe it or weather they don't, inequalities, such as slavery, the subjugation of women, and even homosexual marriage issues, all stem from an innate desire for one group to claim more notoriety, respect, or societal worth than another "inferior" class. There is no justification for these things that doesn't truly stem for the desire of one group to claim "moral superiority."

I'm sure your tweet will make you feel better about that...

percentage of the universe you make up by volume: .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% percent, give or take that same amount.

Maybe he isnt the best one to babysit your kids...

To any pro-life out there, just remember that not only did god ask Isaac's father to kill his son, but he also pretty much forced his own son to commit suicide. Also, god killed David's son. Just saying, god seems to be partial to people killing thier kids.

Take that GOP

Without socialism, Christianity would not exist. Jesus relied on socialism to preach his message.

Think about it.

When viewing scripture, such as the Bible, to cite a major example of this; do you feel we are letting the scripture guide our morality, or does our morality instead define our perception of scripture? Take for example, the Leviticus code in which children who talk back to their parents are required to be stoned. Clearly this happened, and yet we dont stone our children, why is this?

Tombstone

I want my tombstone to read: Here lies one whose name was writ in fire across your lawn.

Not really mine...

Things I have learned from movies and tv: Don't Panic, Don't blink, Don't try this at home, Don't cut the red wire, Don't put baby in the corner. Just do it.

Clairity

When we are young, we believe stories, when we grow older, we believe our eyes. In the end though, we believe our reason. In this way, we go to our grave with a certainty we cannot provide others.

May You

May you live fearlessly even when things get too much, may you care despite the risks, may you be yourself even when everyone says not to, may you love completely, speak honestly, see without illusion, and may you at all times know that you are not a lone traveler on this journey.

Unquotable

Citing a quote does not make it more true. If an idea cannot stand on it's own merits, it cannot be given authority by a person. I would hope that if anyone ever quotes me, they would cite me only to show the strength of my character, and not the validity of my statement.

A Beginning

Just a place to put random insights I have had so I wont forget them.
